You know you are a good DJ when people come up to you after an event and say the following, "I wish you were the DJ at my wedding, because our DJ sucked!" If you ever hear those words, you know you are doing your job. This was one of the nicest couples I have ever worked for. From start to finish Hope and Phil took care of me and made sure I had everything. The Linganore Winery was a very nice place. Way out in Mount Airy, MD is a nice place to take someone special. This place offers wine tasting, a wine tour and you can even have a picnic out there on the grass. An ideal spot to earn some brownie points with the misses.
Back to the party, the bride wanted a lively event, so I gave it to them for four hours. I played a variety of music, country, 80s, Motown, Hip Hop, Top 40, 70s. No matter the music the crowd appreciated it. The best part of the night, the groom asked me to get all of the firemen (Phil is a Montgomery County Firefighter) on the dance floor and embarass them. So I did. I called them up and told them that we had a plaque or some award to give them for their dedication and hard work for Montgomery County. What happened next is priceless . . . I played the YMCA and made them do it. How cheesy is that? But you know what, the groom loved it and everybody had a great time.
